Replacing the Tailgate Gas Struts on a Renault Scenic

Model: Renault Scenic MK 2, Scenic 2 - Years 2003-2009

Open the boot and remove the rear lights by unscrewing the two fixing bolts and disconnecting the connector. Position a hydraulic jack to support the tailgate. At this point, you can proceed to remove the gas struts, which is a very simple operation: you only need to unclip the two clips, one at the base and one on the tailgate, breaking them with a flat-head screwdriver. Install the new struts by clipping the female clips onto the male hooks on the car. Once done, you can remove the hydraulic jack.
