Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

The engine air filter housing is located at the rear of the engine, secured by two straps fastened with bayonet clips; first, disconnect the vacuum hose and then the fastening hooks of the straps; at this point, separate the two elements that make up the filter housing, remove the old filter, and insert the new one. Reassemble the housing and reattach it to the intake manifold, securing it with the respective straps. If the old filter appears slightly oil-soaked, it means the engine has started to lose compression and that there are oil leaks in the intake: for an older vehicle, this is almost a normal condition.
