Let's find out in this guide the main steps to be able to remove and replace the cylinder head or valve cover on the Renault Megane first series, with 1.4 petrol engine. First we lift the car and start to drain the coolant; then we are going to disassemble the air filter box, disconnecting the various pipes and hoses, as shown in the video. At this point we disconnect the wiring of our alternator and then remove the exhaust manifolds; to do this we unscrew all the nuts located at the base. We just have to unscrew the torx screws of the cylinder head cover, in order to remove it and access the valves!
