How to replace spark plugs on Renault Megane

Model: Renault Megane Megane 2 - Years 2002-2010
Part: Spark plugs

In this video tutorial we can see how the Renault Megane spark plugs are replaced. The first thing to do is to get in the car, turn off the car and put the handbrake; next step lift the bonnet and secure it with a special rod and disconnect the battery to work with greater safety. Remove the engine cover, to access the glow plugs you have to remove different parts of the engine. Now you need to remove the metal duct, so use a flathead screwdriver to remove it. Once the duct has been removed, cover with a cloth to prevent impurities from falling into the duct. Unscrew the oil indicator support with the same tools; once the plastic cover has been removed, you have access to the 4 glow plugs; with a vacuum cleaner, clean around the glow plugs. To better unscrew the glow plugs, apply an unlocking product. To unscrew the glow plugs, use a socket wrench with an extension with a 10 mm insert (unscrew the spark plugs slowly).

This procedure does not require any special tools or skills. After starting your vehicle and noticing the indicator on the dashboard display, simply open the driver's side door to get the correct pressure settings for both front and rear tyres.
