How to replace the spark plugs of the Renault Megane II.

To change the spark plugs on the Renault Megane II, we first need to open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Next, we locate the four ignition coils, each positioned above its respective spark plug, secured by an electrical connector and a nut. It is advisable to work on one spark plug at a time to avoid mixing up the coil wires. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coil and gently pull it away, unscrew the securing nut, and remove it from the well without pulling on the wire. Now, remove the spark plug using a socket wrench with an extension, turning it counterclockwise. Install the new spark plug by first screwing it in gently by hand to avoid damaging the threads, then tighten it with a torque wrench to 20 Nm. Reinstall the coil by pushing it down, replace the securing nut, and reconnect the connector. Repeat the process for the other three spark plugs.
