Replacing the Ignition Coils on Megane III

To replace the coils on the Renault Megane II, first purchase new coils: you can find Bosch coils for this model on auto-doc.it with EAN code 4047025224055 at a price of £117.96 for a kit of 4 pieces plus £9.95 for shipping. Disconnect the battery, open the bonnet, and remove the engine cover panel: the coils are positioned directly above each spark plug, at the cylinder head. Press the safety tab and gently pull the connector to disconnect it; never pull the wires directly; remove the fixing bolt and extract the coil. Now that the coil is out, you have direct access to the spark plug. If desired, you can replace them, as new spark plugs help the coils work better. Install the new coils, applying a thin layer of dielectric grease to the rubber part that contacts the spark plug. Insert it fully, pressing until it fits snugly with the underlying spark plug. Insert the fixing bolt, reconnect the electrical connector, and you're done.
