At the heart of the turbocharger is the so-called variable geometry which allows the adjustment of the turbocharger; this is necessary so that the supply pressure remains practically constant in the widest possible range of engine revolutions. The variable geometry of the turbines continuously adjusts their power. Adjustable guide vanes are able to ensure this performance over a wide range of settings while maintaining a good level of performance. A lower engine speed also corresponds to a lower gas pressure, so the guide vanes are adjusted to narrow the section in the turbocharger, thus inducing an increase in gas pressure. On the other hand, when the high engine speeds also lead to an increase in the pressure of the exhaust gases, the section of the supply duct is increased by adjusting the position of the guide vanes. This system must necessarily be lubricated, for this there is a pipe that controls the oil delivery.
