Replacing the air filter on the Renault Megane

Among the operations scheduled for the Renault Megane service is the replacement of the air filter that feeds the engine. To carry this out, open the bonnet of the engine compartment; you will find the filter box behind the battery, on the driver's side. Before proceeding with the replacement, remove the solenoid from its support and move it to the side on the left. Using a flathead screwdriver, unscrew the two screws on either side of the flange that holds the filter. Pull the flange towards you and then upwards to remove it, take out the old filter element and replace it with a new one. Refit the flange, secure it with its screws, and reposition the solenoid on its support.
