Instructions for Installing a Turbocharger

When installing a new turbocharger or a refurbished one, it is advisable to apply new gaskets, starting with the lubrication pipe gasket, and install new studs at the flange connections of the exhaust manifold. Then insert the new gaskets at the aforementioned flanges and tighten using a new set of nuts. Finally, fill the turbocharger with clean oil using a syringe to ensure it is well lubricated at the first start-up, even before the oil pump can provide the correct pressure.
