To replace the rear brake shoes on a Renault Symbol, you need to lift the car so that the corresponding wheel is not in contact with the ground. Remove the wheel by unscrewing its fastening bolts to access the drum at the back: this will also need to be removed by unscrewing the fastening screws.

Under the drum, you will find the brake shoes, which need to be detached from their mechanism and replaced with new replacement parts. After replacement, you can reattach the drum and the wheel.
