This tutorial video demonstrates the steps to replace the timing belt on a Renault Kangoo 1.6. Before removing the belt, check the engine timing and mark reference points with paint to facilitate reassembly later. The first step is to open the engine bay and clear all items obstructing access to the timing belt, including removing the wipers and their seal, the two trims at the sides of the windscreen, the wiper motor, etc. Once all the parts shown in the video are removed, proceed to take off the old belt. Next, remove the inner wing cover on the right front and the cover in front of the crankshaft pulley. Use a suitable spanner on the tensioner to remove the accessory belt and then the tensioner itself. At this point, remove the lower mount of the engine assembly and the protective caps on the camshafts, and insert the timing pin into the crankshaft. To access the timing belt, remove the protective cover and the crankshaft pulley, loosen the tensioner, and proceed to remove and replace the belt.
