How to Replace the Battery in a Renault Twingo 2 1.2 Petrol

This tutorial shows you how to replace the exhausted battery of a Renault Twingo 2 with a 1.2 petrol engine. First, open the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod; then locate the battery on the right side of the engine compartment and remove its cover by lifting the plastic tab to unlock the retaining clips. Using a 10 mm socket, first loosen the nut of the negative terminal, followed by the positive terminal nut, and finally unscrew the locking nuts of the power cables. Now, remove the power cables and, with a 13 mm socket, unscrew the battery support plate and proceed to extract the battery. Clean the terminal clamps with sandpaper and insert the new battery into the designated space; secure the support plate and connect the terminals and power supply.
