Rear Shock Absorber Replacement

Replacing the rear shock absorber is straightforward since the suspension spring is not co-axial with the shock absorber but is directly attached to the rear axle. Start by removing the carpet lining in the boot, directly above the shock absorber mount.

To remove one of the push-fit clips, detach the lamp holder attached to the parcel shelf support. Once the lining is removed, undo the nut securing the rod and proceed to the lower pin that secures the shock absorber to the hub support.

Use a jack under the suspension to support it while removing the pin. Then, reverse the process to install the new shock absorber, using the top rubber from the old one.
