Renault Fluence - Video tutorial

Model: Renault Fluence MK 1 - Years 2009-2019
Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: How to replace the front shock absorbers.

Put the car on a bridge or jack it up to a comfortable height to do the job. Remove the front wheel. Remove the retainer that holds the brake cable in place by unscrewing the bolt with the appropriate wrench. Now unscrew the bolts holding the shock absorber in place (one at the top and two at the bottom). Raise the wheel with a hydraulic jack to take the tension off the shock absorber. Open the engine compartment hood. Now remove the 2 wipers by unscrewing the fulcrum bolt after removing the cover from the same. Unscrew the two bolts on the sides that lock the plastic cover of the engine compartment. Remove them starting from the sides, removing the gaskets and finally removing the long central part. Remove an additional protection by unscrewing the bolts that lock it. Now unscrew the 3 bolts that lock the shock absorber in the upper part and extract it from its position. Subject the shock absorber to compression with a special machine and unscrew the bolt that blocks the spring of the same. We replace the spring with the new one and put it in position, we reassemble the shock absorber as we see in the images. We screw the bolt that holds the spring back in place and reassemble the same in its position. For the assembly we have to carry out the same operations in the opposite order. Replacement operation was performed on a Renault Fluence.

Where are the fuses of the Volvo FH located?

All the fuses of the Volvo FH are located inside the fuse box located in the vehicle cabin: in order to access the box it will be necessary to unhook the internal fixing clips that block the panel in the upper part of the dashboard, along its entire length. extension. Once this panel has been removed, it will be possible to access the fuses and replace them if necessary: here it will be possible to identify the fuses that take care of the operation of the windshield wipers, the cigarette lighter, the headlights, etc. In the vehicle manual each fuse is indicated with its amperage.
