How to Remove the Centre Console from the Renault Scenic

It is quite common for the centre console covering to crack over time and become sticky: you can resolve this issue by repainting the console, which must obviously be removed from the dashboard; start by detaching the gaiter of the gear lever and the underlying trim that houses the hazard light button; then unscrew the fixing screws of the plastic covering of the tunnel to move it away enough to reach the screws fixing the console covering; then extract the factory radio to complete the removal of the console, from which you will disconnect the key slot and the ignition button to proceed with the subsequent painting work.
