How to Unlock the Fuel Filler Flap on a Renault Clio IV

How do you unlock the fuel filler flap on a Renault Clio IV? This is shown in the video. Open the boot, and on the side of the flap, unscrew the screws holding a panel inside the boot.

Once the screws are removed, take off the panel or move it aside enough to work. Next, remove the upholstery located under this panel.

It’s not difficult, as it is held only by plastic clips, as shown in the video. You also need to move the upper part of the trim around the rear window (without removing it). From here, access the back of the flap and unclip the pin that holds the flap in place.

Optionally, you can disconnect the power to the pin, but this will leave the cap always open. It is recommended to repair the mechanism.

In the meantime, you can refuel.
