Learn how to replace the external mirror glass on a Saab 9-3. Using a plastic or rubber-coated trim tool, pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass itself. Pry until the glass detaches from the mirror (disconnect the power cable if present); this is a delicate operation as the glass or the mirror may break.

Replace the damaged piece with a new one (of the same size and model). Ensure the plastic clips engage properly in the mirror supports.
