Replacing the Rocker Cover Gasket

Model: Saab 9 5 Ys3e, MK 1 - Years 1997-2010
Part: Cylinder head

Open the front bonnet and ensure it is securely supported. Remove the plastic engine cover and disconnect the pipes that run over the rocker cover, which would prevent its removal. Remove the spark plug coil pack, unscrew all the fixing screws of the rocker cover (it is recommended to use a power screwdriver to ease the task), and take it off along with the gasket; then remove the internal gasket. Apply the new gaskets, ensuring they adhere properly, and refit the cover, tightening all the fixing screws. Finally, reassemble everything that was previously removed in reverse order.
