How to Repair a Broken Window

In this video, observe how to repair the window regulator motor on the passenger side of the Saab 9-5. Start by removing the inner door panel: use a screwdriver to remove the small plastic cover located at the height of the mirror, the one under the door handle, and those near the armrest (which, as indicated in the video, have a different shape). Also detach the fastening clip near the door hinge, then remove the inner window frame. Using a T-27 bit, unscrew the screws revealed earlier. Remove the inner handle. Working from the bottom, detach the entire panel and pull it out from the top. Disconnect the door light cable. Carefully remove the rubber protective layer. Before disconnecting the motor connector, turn on the ignition, lower the window, and turn off the ignition. Using a screwdriver, remove the clip from the green roller that you will replace. Disconnect the regulators and pull the glass out from the top. Apply silicone grease to the window sliding grooves. Now replace the two faulty green rollers with new ones and reposition the window in its housing (in the lowered position). Position the regulator arms near the newly replaced green rollers and attach them, then refit the metal clip on the rollers that you removed earlier. Turn on the ignition and test the result. Reposition the rubber protection and reassemble the door panel, ensuring you have repositioned the cable and door light. Refit the window frame, the clip near the hinge, and the door handle. Finally, re-screw all the fastening screws of the panel and do not forget to reattach the small plastic covers.
