Replacing the Window Regulator Motor

Model: Saab 9 3 MK 2 - Years 2002-2014
Part: Power window motor

To replace the window regulator motor, first remove the door panel: before proceeding with the removal, it is advisable to disconnect one battery terminal. Unclip the handle cover and unscrew the screws underneath; using a suitable lever, unclip the pressure clips along the edges of the panel and remove it from its housing by disconnecting the opening handle cable, the connectors for the window switches, and the speaker. Then peel back the soundproofing material along the edges, taking care not to tear it; unscrew the pins of the glass securing clips and slide the glass out of its housing. Next, remove the window lift mechanism from inside the door along with the motor: once the mechanism is on the bench, you can disassemble and replace just the motor (usually available in the aftermarket).
Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
