How to replace the lock on the door of a Seat Ibiza 3

In this video, we will see how to change the door lock of a Seat Ibiza 3: we start by removing the inner panel from the door. We will begin by removing the cover from the handle, and then we will remove the two screws inside, then we remove the two screws under the cover; at this point, we can release the clips and remove the panel, disconnecting the electrical connectors. We secure the glass to the pillars with body shop tape so it doesn't fall, and unscrew the mechanism underneath it. Now, from the thickness of the door, we unscrew the screw that holds the handle, then the screws of the lock, always in the thickness of the door. We remove all the electrical cables and connectors and remove the metal panel on which the window lifter and lock are fixed, which we can finally remove from the panel and replace with the one we have found, for example on tarostrade. It is code 2002-2008-191563 at 16.43 euros + 6.49 euros for shipping. Now we have to put the lock back on the panel and reconnect it via the electrical connector. We will reassemble the panel on the door by reattaching all the electrical wires and connectors and then tighten the glass support bolt, and put the lining panel back in place. Of course, it was not a very simple job, but it was a great satisfaction to be able to do it.
