Replacing the Auxiliary Belt on a Seat Ibiza

In this video, you will learn how to remove the Poly-V auxiliary belt from a Seat Ibiza. Open the bonnet and locate the belt (it is visible as it runs around the alternator). To remove the auxiliary belt, use a 16 mm spanner to rotate and push firmly (to loosen the tensioner) and remove the belt. For reassembly, it is crucial to fit the belt in the correct direction so that all the grooves are perfectly seated on all the pulleys! Use a 16 mm spanner to tension the tensioner and fit the new auxiliary belt!
