Boot Lock Replacement on a Seat Ibiza

Model: Seat Ibiza 6P, 6J - Years 2008-2017

The first step is to remove the inner panel of the boot lid by unscrewing the two screws with a Torx key located inside the handles for closing. After that, use plastic trim tools to disengage the push clips around its perimeter. Now, you can disconnect the electrical connector from the lock, and then unscrew the two pins that secure the lock mechanism to the boot lid using a special tool, Triple Square (XZN) M8, which is not easily available except from automotive tool retailers or specialists.
