Installing an Aftermarket Double DIN Car Radio

To remove the original car radio, you need the special keys to insert into the slots located at the front of the radio: once the keys are fully inserted, release the securing springs, and you can pull the radio forward and disconnect the connectors attached to it. To install an aftermarket radio, possibly equipped with a hands-free kit, connect the adapter kit to the original wiring and the control unit for the hands-free system, which can be placed in the glove compartment along with the AUX port. Clearly, the microphone must also be installed, which can be positioned at the top of the windscreen pillar. Finally, fit the trim and then the new radio.
