Today, we will go through the steps necessary to remove and replace the hydraulic struts of the rear tailgate on a Seat Altea. First, open the rear tailgate and gather a flat screwdriver and a pair of pliers; then, unclip the strut pin to remove it from the tailgate hook, using pliers if you cannot pull it out, as shown in the video.

Next, install the new hydraulic strut, ensuring it is the same length; similarly, proceed to replace the other hydraulic strut!
