If pressing the unlock button on the key fob keeps the locks closed, the battery in the fob may be dead. Replacing the battery is extremely simple, even easier than the previous model, which required separating the metal key holder from the fob and then opening the fob shells. In this case, a simple cap has been applied to the back of the fob, corresponding to the battery compartment. Simply open the metal key, lever on the edge of the cap to unclip it, and then extract the battery using a small screwdriver.
