How to Reset the Service Light on a Škoda Fabia?

Model: Skoda Fabia 6Y, Mark1 - Years 1999-2007

On a Škoda Fabia, the Service light that illuminates on the dashboard can be reset by holding down the 0.0 button located in the centre of the dashboard while it is off. Once the button is pressed, insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn it to activate the dashboard: then wait a few seconds after it lights up, release the button, and press the one next to it with the icon of two rectangles. Pressing this button will cause the Service light to disappear completely from the dashboard, which can then be turned off.
