Remove the external mirror from a Skoda Octavia. Pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror itself.

Apply leverage until the mirror detaches from the wing mirror (disconnect the power cable); this is a delicate operation as the glass or the mirror itself may break. Unscrew the screws to detach the cover of the wing mirror (if damaged).

Replace the damaged part with the new one. During installation, ensure the plastic clips snap into place on the mirror supports. Adjust the mirror after installation.
