Replacement of Front Headlight Bulb

Model: Skoda Octavia 1U, MK 1 - Years 1996-2004

To replace the front headlight bulb, it is not necessary to remove the headlight from its housing: once the bonnet is open, there is enough space to reach in and release the indicator bulb holder (just rotate it); at this point, pull out the old bulb (bayonet fitting) and insert the new one. Before refitting the bulb holder in its place, it is advisable to check the bulb's operation; once you are sure it is working correctly, complete the installation by repositioning the bulb holder in the headlight's designated area. For the rear headlight bulbs, simply move the carpet covering and detach the complete bulb holder to replace the bulbs (also with bayonet fitting).
