Here’s how to correctly reset the maintenance light on the Skoda Octavia Mk3. Fortunately, this light is harmless; it does not indicate a malfunction of the car but serves as a simple reminder for the driver to carry out regular maintenance. To eliminate it, simply use the controls on the instrument cluster. First, press and hold the "0.0/Set" button (located between the rev counter and the speedometer) and simultaneously turn on the ignition. Release it when prompted for confirmation of the reset, then press it once more. Turn off the ignition, and the procedure is complete.
