Replacement of Front Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Skoda Fabia Mark2, 5J - Years 2007-2014

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel; remove the protective caps from the caliper mounting bolts and unscrew them to detach the caliper from its bracket and slide out the old pads; then unscrew the disc retaining bolt from the hub and remove the disc, clean the disc seat on the hub with a wire brush and also brush the caliper bracket and the mounting bolts on which the caliper slides; clean the new discs of protective oil and attach them to the hub, insert the new pads, retract the caliper piston using a C-clamp and secure it to the bracket. Take care during the initial braking.
