In order to replace the front brake pads, lift the car on suitable car stands and remove the front wheel; then disconnect the pad wear sensor socket, remove the protective caps of the pins securing the caliper to its support and unscrew these pins; before removing the caliper, pry between the caliper and the disc and slightly retract the piston, move the caliper away and extract the old pads; use a parrot wrench to fully retract the piston, insert the new pads, refit the caliper and connect the wear sensor socket. Pump the brake pedal until it offers the right resistance.
