The replacement of the timing belt on any car is a rather complex operation and should be carried out by qualified personnel. Therefore, in this description, we only provide a general outline of the steps to be taken. Open the hood. Unscrew the fastening elements of the lower soundproofing and remove it. Pull the V-belt tensioner pulley sideways and remove it. Remove the right front wheel, place a jack under the engine sump through a board and lift it slightly. Remove the upper cover of the timing belt by releasing the two latches. Unscrew the upper mounting bracket of the engine. There are only three bolts and one nut. Lock the relative position of the crankshaft pulley and camshaft in order to maintain the engine timing. Finally, remove the lower belt covers and loosen the tensioner before removing the timing belt.
