We can see in this video how to replace the rear tailgate lock of the Skoda Octavia II: in the plastic lining of the tailgate we find plastic caps that hide screws: by removing these caps, we unscrew the screws, after which we can remove the tailgate lining, which is pressure-inserted. Once this is removed, there are three torx screws to remove at the lock, paying attention to the small electrical connector that connects it to the bodywork. We find the replacement piece for example on E-bay with the code 203760923757 at the price of 32.40 euros, free delivery. We reconnect the connector and reposition the component, putting back the three torx screws. Now we reposition the tailgate lining, locking the clips and then putting back the three screws we had removed earlier. We close the plastic caps and the job is done.
