To remove the hood of the Smart Fortwo cabrio it is necessary, first of all, to turn on the ignition and press the button which opens the hood itself. Once this operation has been carried out, we must open the rear hatch of the luggage compartment and, on the inner face of the hatch itself, release the two belts that allow the internal panel to be opened, thus allowing access to the compartment below. At this point, we can proceed to disassemble the two side bars, placed above the doors, which also act as guides for sliding the hood. To do this, simply operate the small lever on the front of each bar and which locks it in place. Once disassembled, the bars can be placed in the glove compartment inside the tailgate and that's it.
