Let's see how to remove and replace the fuel filter on a Smart Fortwo: lift the car on a column lift or jack and locate the fuel filter as shown in the video. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the securing bolts near the container (disconnect the cables and various hoses from the filter) where the fuel filter is located. Once the filter is removed, take it out of the vehicle (replace it with a new filter). Finally, refit the filter to the attached fuel filter container (connect the hoses and cables) and tighten the appropriate bolts. Close the front bonnet at the end.
