How to Remove the Sunroof on Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015
Part: Convertible top

To remove the sunroof on the Smart Fortwo cabrio, first, open the rear hatch of the vehicle. Now, unscrew the two bolts that secure the hood at the sides of the car, located inside near the rear lights, and begin to fold it upwards. Disengage the fabric part of the hood from the rigid bar at the lower rear and proceed to disengage it along the side perimeters. You can now lower the rigid bar and continue to disengage the hood from the sides. When you reach the horizontal roof section, it is necessary to remove the plastic piece that includes the high-level brake light. To do this, unscrew the 4 bolts that secure it in place using the appropriate spanner. Remove it while being careful to disconnect the electrical supply. At this point, unscrew the 2 outer bolts that secure the hood at the top cross member, operate the electric control to slide the hood back, and, by moving the necessary pieces for the hood to slide in the tracks (as shown in the images), slide the hood forward again to unscrew the 6 screws (3 on each side) found under the track cover. At this point, the job is done; disengage the rear part of the hood from the horizontal cross member and you can remove it from the car.

How to Remove the Brake Disc on Mitsubishi Pajero

How to remove the brake disc along with the brake pads on a Mitsubishi Pajero? First, lift the vehicle on a column lift to a suitable height for working. Next, remove the wheel (using a telescopic spanner or air drill) with the respective bolts. Undo the locking bolt of the brake caliper, and remove it from the caliper support. Remove the caliper support from the wheel hub using a socket spanner. Once the brake disc is free, undo the screws with a fixed spanner and detach the disc from the wheel hub. Disconnect the various wiring and brake fluid pipes from the wheel assembly. Replace them with new parts (always use original and compliant parts). Prepare to install the new disc along with the respective pads, brake caliper, caliper support, etc.
