How to Replace the Air Filter on a Smart Fortwo

To replace the engine air filter on a Smart Fortwo: open the car's boot (cargo area), lift the metal cover of the engine compartment. Locate the air filter; open the air kit (unscrew the securing screws), remove the cover of the filter box, and extract the worn air filter. Insert a new filter into the designated housing (ensuring it fits snugly against the walls). Finally, refit the cover of the air box and tighten the screws. Close the rear boot after maintenance (refit the metal engine cover).
