You can completely detach the door panel on the Smart 451 by first removing the outer door panel: this will give you access to the clips that secure the panel from the outside. These must be loosened to remove the lower part of the inner panel; you can then proceed by prying with an object to detach the trim of the corresponding armrest, allowing the underlying screws to be loosened. After removing these screws, you can proceed to detach the panel to replace it with a new one.
