Removing the Windscreen of a Smart Fortwo

Follow these steps to remove the windscreen of a Smart Fortwo. First, open the bonnet and fit the windscreen removal kit (under the windscreen), then close the bonnet and remove the seal around the windscreen (if removable).

Once the seal is removed, cut the adhesive with the removal kit (screwdriver and string kit) and lift the glass using suction cups. Clean the perimeter of the front panel (remove any adhesive residue).

Place the new windscreen on a secure base and apply suitable silicone for bonding.
