How to remove and replace the engine air filter of a Smart Fortwo

Let's see how to remove and replace the engine air filter of a Smart Fortwo. We open and lift up the rear hatch (where the engine is present), we secure the same. Remove the engine soundproofing panel, then, open the air kit (unscrew the tightening screws or unhook the clips), uncover the filter box cap and extract the air filter. We insert the new filter in the dedicated housing (making it adhere well around the walls). Finally we reassemble the cap of the air box and tighten the screws. We close the engine compartment and the tailgate after maintenance.
