Remove Brake Pads on Smart Fortwo

Remove the front disc brake pads when worn on a Smart Fortwo. See how to remove them from the disc brake. Position the vehicle on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height for working. Unscrew the wheel bolts with a telescopic spanner. Start unscrewing the bolts of the brake caliper; detach it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads from the caliper. Fit the new brake pads with all the associated bolts, tighten the caliper bracket to the disc, then refit the brake caliper and secure it with the screws. Refit the wheel. Bleed the brake caliper and top up if necessary.
