In this video tutorial, you will learn how to replace the battery in a Smart. First, locate the battery: it is found on the passenger side, not under the bonnet.

Next, remove the carpet and the under panel: at this point, you will have access to the battery. First, unscrew the bracket screws holding the battery, then unscrew the negative and positive terminals.

If you are unsure of the battery's condition, it is advisable to wear gloves and safety goggles. Once unscrewed, remove the battery and replace it with a new one!
