Removing the Radio from Smart Fortwo

Use a plastic trim tool to remove the button panel at the back of the radio. With a screwdriver, unscrew the screws located in the dashboard slot. Now, use the trim tool to detach the dashboard frame, pulling away the radio frame. Unscrew the screws securing the radio: remove it from the dashboard, disconnect the various power connectors behind it and the antenna reception cable. Test the radio's functionality once the installation is complete.
