Want to dismantle the front bonnet of the Smart Fortwo? Here’s how to unlock and remove the front bonnet. Use the plastic levers (located at the sides of the front grille) with your hands towards the centre of the grille. Once the catches at the front are released, the bonnet will drop down, then remove it from the vehicle body. Carry out maintenance on your car or replace the front bonnet if damaged. After securing the bonnet, slide it with your hands along the front of the nose. Close the previously unlocked bonnet opening levers.
