To replace the third brake light bulbs on a Smart, loosen the screws securing the light unit. Once the screws are loosened, remove the light unit to access the support where the bulbs are located. On the left side of the support, there will be a connector that needs to be disconnected by pulling it outward. At this point, you can remove the bulbs from their sockets and replace them with new spares. Once the new bulbs are inserted, reinstall the support and the light unit.
