How to Remove the Battery from a Smart ForTwo

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

Before starting, open the passenger door of your Smart ForTwo. Begin by moving the passenger foot mat, then remove the cover underneath. Next, unclip and remove the cover of the positive battery terminal. Once done, unscrew and remove the bolts securing the two terminals to the battery, then disconnect them. At this point, unscrew and remove the bolt that secures the battery bracket. After completing this step, extract the battery from its housing, and you will have finished the removal.
