Follow the main steps to remove and replace the traction battery of the electric Smart Fortwo. First, lift the vehicle and start removing the plastic battery cover by unscrewing all the fastening screws; then unscrew all the battery mounting bolts, using a jack to lower it from the chassis, as shown in the video.

At this point, disconnect the battery's electrical wiring, remove it, and replace it with the new one; apply the reverse procedure for reassembly!
