Removing the boot lock on Smart Cabrio

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

Remove the boot side protectors which are simply fixed by a torx screw, then remove them with the help of a flat screwdriver. On the sides of the small hatch there are two latches that block it thanks to the central lock command. Remove these fasteners by unscrewing the two (head) fixing bolts. Raise the rear window and lower the tailgate: make holes next to the clips as shown in the video, so that you can push the clips with a screwdriver. Raise the surface panel so that you can unscrew the bolts of the bottom panel of the trunk and thus access the lock.

In this video, learn how to remove the spark plugs on a Subaru Forester. Pull the lever to open the engine compartment and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Remove the soundproofing panel covering the cylinder head, the air filter kit (if necessary), then disconnect the coils by hand, unscrew the spark plugs with your socket wrench, and pull them out of the cylinder head. Take the new spark plugs and guide them with the extension of the socket wrench into the cylinder head, tighten them properly, secure the ignition coils, refit the previously removed panel and the air filter kit. Close the engine bonnet.
