How to Replace the Rear Window Gas Struts on the Smart 451

Unlike what you might think, removing and installing the rear window gas struts on the Smart 451 is not a complex task. In fact, you can carry it out quickly and easily on your own without needing a professional mechanic. First, switch off the car and go to the rear. Fully lift the bonnet and loosen the two upper springs using a flat screwdriver. Once done, remove the two gas struts and replace them with the new ones. Tighten the two springs correctly and close the bonnet to check the proper functioning.

How to Repair the Key Spring of the Peugeot 207?
